On November 24th, there will be a career fair at both Elementary centers for grades 3-5. We typically have about 10 occupations represented at each center. Each student will attend 3 sessions of about 20-25 minutes. If any parents are interested in presenting at the career fair, or know someone who is, please contact Mrs. Mertens at school by October 9th.

Homecoming is next week. So, here is an exclusive first look at the themes! Monday is Comfy Day. Tuesday is Clash Day or Disney Day. Wednesday is HatDay or Favorite Team Day. Thursday is Burgundy and White Day. Friday is Blackout Day.

The Social Studies test on our first chapter will be given on Monday 28th September. Our topic was the location of the United States, Climate and Natural Resources. Study hard!

Just a reminder that our annual Donuts for Dads will be on Wednesday September 23rd this year, from 7:45am-8:30am. The PTO is always amazing at hosting these events, so you can be sure of a good start to the day. Dads are welcome to meet and eat with more than one of their children, but we need advance notice on attendance, so please return the purple form as soon as you know you will be available!

A big thank you goes out to all the grandparents that came to eat with their grandchildren today. This was a record year for fourth grade, with the largest attendance of grandparents we have had for 3 years or more. I know that the students were excited that you came to visit them at school and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

The Science chapter test on Simple Machines will be on September 21st, (one week from today). All students have been issued with a study guide. If you 'misplaced' it, you can download one by clicking here. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader, or similar, to open the file.
