Greetings to all! My name is Sydney. This week was picture day. I think we all did pretty good with smiling. Even if we didn't there's always retakes. In math this week we did metal adding and subtracting across zeros in the thousands and ten thousands. In reading this week we are reading a story called "The Astronaut and the Onion." Our spelling words this week all have the long I sound in them. In music we are singing a song called "Hot Cross Buns." In art we are doing a project called a vanishing point. I am doing a road that runs through a city at sunset. We have also done MAP testing. Hello world! This week I am the blogger. My name is Greg. In science we are making a poster for all six simple machines. I like that chapter. For math we are doing something new. Adding with two and three digit numbers. It was easy. At art the class is working on 3-D pictures. At gym we had a free day. I played soccer! In Language we are doing daily paragraphs. Really Fun! Hi my name is Emma. This week in math we are playing a great game called Fizz Buzz. We also have begun a new chapter on adding and subtracting. In language we are reading about pythons, animals, and lots more cool things. In science we are learning about simple machines. In social studies we are learning about weather. This week in math we learned rounding and played math games. In Reading we read Walk in the Desert. In Language we learned Subject and Predicate. In Science we learned about a pulley. We even got to use one! In Social Studies we typed our "Iowa is" poems. I had to do it myself because my partner was gone. Some will be on the website soon. On Friday our book orders came in. I got the 5th 39 Clues book, and Supreme Commander for my PC. | Our Class Blog
