The Student Showcase
Time to celebrate some of the great work we have been doing. Click the links below to take a peek at what we have been working on.
Whale facts - See what interesting facts our 4th graders found while researching whales for our Language Arts topic.
Label the Volcano - In Science we were studying earthquakes and volcanoes. These diagrams show the important parts of a live volcano.
Personal Narratives - In Language the children were writing personal narratives about memorable places they have visited, and described their experiences while they were there.
The American Landscape - In Social Studies we looked at the different landforms that are found in different parts of the country - coastal plains in the east, dry deserts and rocky mountains in the west, and lush flat farmland in between.
"Iowa is..." poetry - Listen to some of our poetic tributes to Iowa. Based on the poem "America is..." by Louise Borden, these were part of our Social Studies unit.
