Hi world! I am this weeks budding blogger. My name is Alana, and I love school. In Science we are learning about sound. In Social Studies we are almost on the next Midwest chapter, and we did a test on Tuesday! In gym it's lots of fun. We can play games while getting our exercise! In Language we are learning about libraries. Sometimes when we have time, my teacher will read to us! How nice!! Our spring concert was Thursday, and we all did really well! Hi! My name is McKenna and this week in Math we are doing Multiplying by two-digit numbers. In Language we are doing irregular verbs. In class we got a Smartboard. It has markers that never run out! It also has a projector attached to it. It is very cold just now and I just can't wait until summer then we could play in the pool! Don't forget that Mr. Wylie is the best teacher ever!! Hi my name is Jason. This week in school we were having I.T.B.S. tests. The only good this about the tests is we get snacks between tests. We missed a day of school on Wednesday, so we have to make it up at the end of the year! In music we are playing the recorders. Do you know how to play the recorder? We are having a science test on Monday, hope you studied! Have you heard of Rosa Parks? We are learning about her and Martin Luther King Jr. and reading about them in reading groups. Hello, my name is Mikalyn and I am your Budding Blogger this week. In Language, we are learning Spelling Analogies. In Math, we are learning Geometry. In Science, we brought a jar of dirt to school from our yard or field to see what soil was made of. We started battle of the books and I am reading "The City of Ember." We are doing a project about China. We also went to see the middle and high schoolers do a play. We played Dance Mat Typing and are almost finished reading Edward Tulane. Hello, I am this weeks budding blogger. In Math we are learning about multiplication and division. In reading we are reading Focus on China. In Language we are working on changing words from singular to plural, like ox to oxen. In Science we took a test. In Social Studies we are working on profit and loss in businesses. It rained on the day of our Halloween parade and we had to move the parade inside. I went as a bear because it was supposed to be very cold. We got lots of treats and drinks at tbe party in our room. Hi my name is Eva. I am the blogger of the week. This last week we finished our ecosystem vocab packet, and watched a movie called deep oceans.It was a planet earth movie. We read a book in language called my diary from here to there. It's about a girl that moves from Mexico to the USA. She was born in Mexico but when she moves she finds out its not that bad after words.Some of the kids get to do student web sites and I'm one of them! Hope you had a fun time reading my blog! We were making our own page for a calendar with Mrs. DeBoer and it was a competition by Linn county.We are making are own student website at school. In Math, we beat our time with loop cards, but we still have to go faster. We are also working on Fact Families and we got to go up to the computer room and use a website called Arcademic Skill builders. Muffins with Moms is coming up and I love muffins. Our class Halloween party is coming up too, and I can't wait to get a whole bunch of candy. We have been playing a whole bunch of fun games with Mr. Wylie. Hi, my name is Maeve, it rhymes with brave. I am this week's blogger! In Irish my name is spelled Maedbh! Weird huh? In Language we are doing personal narratives. In science we are learning about ecosystems. In math we are learning our times tables. They are fun!!!!! In art I finished a 3D project. I drew a picture of a desert. It looks really cool!!! In library I checked out a book about dogs, because I love dogs!!!! In music we are practicing our Christmas concert songs. We have a new music teacher, Miss Bates. She is really nice. Mr. Wylie is really nice too. He is the best teacher ever!!!!!!!!! Mr. Wylie is reading a very good book to us called Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulaneby Kate Dicamillo. Hi, my name is Trevor. I'm this weeks budding blogger. In math we were adding and subtracting. Now we are multiplying. In reading we are reading The Raft. In language we are doing worksheets about The Raft. In science we are learning about ecosystems. In Social Studies we had a test. I did well! This week is homecoming week. To celebrate we got to wear different clothes. Monday was comfy day. Tuesday was clash or Disney. I wore a funky Mickey hat. Wednesday we wore a hat or favorite team day. I wore a cubs hat and shirt. Greetings to all! My name is Sydney. This week was picture day. I think we all did pretty good with smiling. Even if we didn't there's always retakes. In math this week we did metal adding and subtracting across zeros in the thousands and ten thousands. In reading this week we are reading a story called "The Astronaut and the Onion." Our spelling words this week all have the long I sound in them. In music we are singing a song called "Hot Cross Buns." In art we are doing a project called a vanishing point.
